Geselle “Zion Da Voice” Watts hails from the city of New Orleans, where music is infused into every part of the culture. Growing up in a family influenced by jazz and blues, Zion began to take on her great grandfather’s legacy of music. What started for her as a pure curiosity quickly developed into a beautiful relationship of melodies, chords, lyrics, and melodic beats. Music quickly became Zion’s muse and her outlet through the challenges that life presented to her in her adolescence.

Her love for music began to lead her to perform with groups such as Da Bomb, Hide Out Click, and monthly ciphers with some of the most influential artists in Hip Hop. In 1999, as Zion, then known as Flexx pursued her career, getting ready to sign a deal with Universal Records God had another plan. Zion walked away from the deal, to pursue God and the call on her life. Since then, Zion has dealt with many ups and down’s in her walk with God but she attributes it to the calling upon her life.

Out of her pain, she has birthed a ministry called “Beautifully Scarred, Gracefully Broken”.
